After aligning our high power dipole trap onto the atoms we saw a first signal. We are ready to optimize imaging now and hope to see soon the first single atom signal.

Today we got our fast current quenching circuit going and basically immediately our gray molasses worked. Now we have potassium atoms at 10 mikro kelvin in our vacuum chamber.
